Weather Outlook 28th March 2019 (12 noon)

Over the next few days, moderate to occasionally fresh (20 – 40km/h) breeze with a south-easterly flow should continue across our islands. This could result in moisture convergence with patches of low level clouds causing occasional cloudy skies and scattered showers.

Meanwhile, a deepening cyclonic circulation in the Western Atlantic (near Bahamas) and an anti-cyclonic circulation in the eastern Atlantic should maintain this flow.

Additionally, couple weak lower-level shearlines and mid to upper level features should support shower activity across our area Friday into the weekend. 

Slight to moderate sea conditions with north-easterly swells ranging 0.6 – 1.2m on west coasts and 1.2 – 2.0m on east coasts of St.Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG). 

Barometric readings should continue between 1013 - 1016mb, possibly rising Friday to about 1017mb. The Atlantic High Pressure System is expected to weaken over the weekend and shift northwards, resulting in readings between 1011 – 1015mb across SVG.  During next week, Low pressure areas could possibly deepen on the western and eastern sides of the Atlantic Ocean. 

A thin film of Saharan dust noticeable on our horizon is expected to clearing during Sunday.
