Weather Outlook 11th June 2020 (6 pm)

Cloudy skies moved over St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) this afternoon, with periods of light rain. A tropical wave is crossing the Windward Islands, with an area of disorganized showers expected across SVG tonight into early Friday. Pockets of moderate/heavy showers and isolated thunderstorms could interrupt slight hazy conditions. The chance for development into a depression/storm as the area moves over the islands is very low (near 0%). Residents and motorists in areas prone to flooding and land-slides, or near rivers and streams should remain alert. Reduced shower activity is expected during Friday afternoon and isolated showers are possible over the weekend.

Gentle to moderate (15 - 30 km/h) north-easterly breeze could turn south-easterly by early Friday, increasing to fresh (up to 40 km/h) during Friday.

A gradual reduction is expected by evening, becoming gentle (10 - 20 km/h) at times over the weekend. Direction could turn to east north-easterly during Sunday and increase to fresh by night-fall.

Slight to moderate sea-conditions are across our islands, with swells up to 1.0 m on western coasts and up to 1.8 m on eastern coasts with east-south-easterly swells, slight reduction (1.0 – 1.5m) may be noticeable by Saturday.
