A south easterly wind flow is aiding the transfer of equatorial moisture to the islands. This could result in a few sporadic showers across St. Vincent & the Grenadines as the evening period approaches. Varying concentrations of Saharan dust haze should be noticeable from early Wednesday while a tropical wave should begin to affect the islands by late afternoon. Although the dry air could suppress activity, occasional scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms are still quite possible into Thursday. A shearline associated with the tail end of the wave could trigger a few showers firstly across the mainland during the afternoon, before spreading to the Grenadines by nightfall. A weak ridge pattern should build across the islands on Friday allowing for fair to partly cloudy conditions.
Gentle to slightly moderate(~15-30km/h) east south easterly trades will move across the islands tonight, increasing to fresh(~30km/h) at times and ENE on Wednesday. The flow would gradually increase until they become strong(~40) at times on Friday.
Sea conditions will be slight to moderate (1.0m-1.5m) in open water during the next 48 hours, gradually increasing to moderate(1.5m-2.0m) by Thursday evening.
