Weather Outlook 31st August 2020 (6 pm)

Weak instability lingers across our area and a few scattered showers are likely tonight. A weak trough system/shear-line could bring scattered showers across St.Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) on Tuesday and shower activity with isolated thunderstorms can be expected Tuesday night into Wednesday, followed by slight - moderate hazy conditions. Isolated showers are possible Thursday, as instability lingers. Meanwhile, a couple areas in the Central and Eastern Atlantic Ocean are being monitored for any developments.

Light and gentle (~5 – 15 km/h) south-westerly wind-flow tonight could become variable at times, turning south-easterly during Tuesday

and slightly increasing up to ~20 km/h. Wind direction could vary from east north-east to east south-east from late Wednesday and during Thursday.

Slight to moderate sea-conditions are across our islands with north-easterly swells ranging 0.5 to 1.0 m on western coasts and up to 1.5 m on eastern coasts. Smooth seas may be noticeable on western coasts on Tuesday, with slight (less than 1.2 m) sea-conditions expected across SVG by Wednesday.
