Weather Outlook - 6th September 2020 (12noon)

A slackening of the pressure gradient would result in light wind speeds this week, increasing the potential for localised showers on afternoons across St. Vincent and the Grenadines. In addition, a favourable upper level environment is forecast during this time. Models suggest a few light to moderate showers are possible tonight into the early morning period as a low-level trough interacts with the islands. Some scattered showers and a low chance of thunderstorm activity is anticipated on Tuesday. These conditions are associated with a shearline.  Fair to partly cloudy conditions are anticipated for the early parts of Wednesday.

Light to gentle (~10 – 20 km/h)east to east north easterly(E-ENE) trades should shift to become east to east south easterly(E-ESE) on occasions during Monday through Wednesday.

Sea conditions across the islands would be smooth to slight(0.5m - 1.2m) with smooth conditions on western coasts and slight on eastern coasts.

No significant dust haze intrusion is anticipated within the forecast period.
