Weather Outlook 14th November 2020 (6 pm)

A trough system lingering east of the island chain could spread partly cloudy to cloudy skies with moderate/heavy showers and isolated thunderstorms across St. Vincent and the Grenadines tonight. Patches of Saharan dust creating hazy film across our area should thin-out Sunday and periods of light to moderate rain can be expected. Pulses in the wind-flow could trigger pockets of heavy showers with occasional support at the upper-levels…Remain alert in areas prone to flash-flooding and land-slides, or near rivers and streams…A weak tropical wave could maintain a few showers across our islands Tuesday.

Gentle and moderate (~10 – 25 km/h) easterly breeze across our islands could turn east south-easterly

during Sunday and gradually increase to fresh (up to 40 km/h) by Monday night. Wind directions could turn north-easterly Tuesday afternoon as a weak tropical wave approaches.

Slight to moderate sea-conditions are across our islands, ranging 0.5 – 1.2 m on western coasts and nearing 1.8 m on eastern coast with east north-easterly sea-swells becoming easterly by Monday.
