Weather Outlook 17th November 2020 (6 pm)

A few showers linger across St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) tonight and patches of Saharan dust are causing occasional slight haze. A shear-line could anchor north of mainland St. Vincent Wednesday, with occasional cloud patches bringing showers. More scattered showers with a chance of isolated thunderstorms are possible across SVG by night-time. Another tropical wave could be approaching the islands late Friday, with scattered showers across SVG on Saturday.

Fresh (~30 – 40 km/h) easterly breeze across our islands could turn east south-easterly and decrease to moderate breeze during Wednesday. Wind speeds could increase to fresh and turn easterly again

by late Thursday.

Slight to moderate sea-conditions are across our islands, ranging 1.0 – 1.5 m on western coasts and near 2.0 m on eastern coast with easterly sea-swells. Rise in swell heights could start Thursday night…Small-craft operators and sea-bathers should exercise caution; as moderate (1.5 – 2.5 m) sea-swells are expected across SVG during Friday.
