Weather Outlook 12th July 2021 (6 pm)

Over the next couple days, weak low-level instability could result in occasional cloudiness and a few scattered showers across St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG). Meanwhile, slightly hazy conditions due to Saharan dust concentrations could thin-out across our area by Wednesday. A tropical wave is expected to approach the islands Thursday; with light rain, scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms likely towards evening and into the night.

Moderate to fresh (25 – 35 km/h) east north-easterly trades could gust near 45 km/h tonight, decreasing slightly on Tuesday. Directions could occasionally turn east south-easterly by Wednesday night into early Thursday and

east north-easterly trades return by evening.

East north-easterly swells range between 1.0 m to 1.5 m on western coasts with slight to moderate sea-conditions and up to 2.0 m on eastern coasts of SVG. Swell heights could gradually fall, becoming slight (0.5 m – 1.0 m) on western coasts and slight to moderate (1.0 m – 1.5 m) on eastern coasts of SVG by Thursday night.
