Weather Outlook - 10th August 2021(6pm)

As Potential Tropical Cyclone #6 continues its westward path and exits the Eastern Caribbean, a south easterly flow behind the system is aiding with the transfer of moisture to our islands. This may trigger a some showers under occasionally cloudy skies across the island chain tonight. A ridge pattern should rebuild on Wednesday and warm conditions could be interrupted at times with light showers especially towards evening. Similar conditions are likely on Thursday but by late night a tropical wave approaches the islands. On Friday, this wave should interact with the chain.

Gentle to moderate(15-25km/h) east south easterly trades would cross our islands tonight, becoming east to east north east on Wednesday and slightly increasing(near 30km/h) on Thursday. Early Friday, winds could become east south easterly again behind the wave's axis, before reducing during the evening to near (15km/h).

Seas will remain slight to moderate in open water with swells peaking near 0.5 m on western coasts and between 1.5m to 1.8m on eastern coasts. No significant dust haze intrusion is expected within the next 3 days.
