Weather Outlook 10th September 2021 (6 pm)

Dry air has been limiting shower activity across St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG), but a weak trough is crossing the island chain with a chance for a few showers across SVG tonight and Saturday morning. A tropical wave is expected across the islands by Sunday, increasing chances for scattered showers and isolated

thunderstorm activity during the night and Monday. A film of Saharan dust haze may be noticeable across our area by Saturday afternoon.

Gentle to moderate (15 – 25 km/h) east north-easterly trades could turn east south-easterly during Saturday and wind speeds could decrease to light and occasionally calm (less than 10km/h) by Sunday.

In open water; north-easterly sea-swells with slight (0.5 – 1.0 m) sea-conditions are west of SVG and northerly sea-swells with slight to moderate (1.0 – 1.5 m) sea-conditions are east of SVG. North-easterly sea-swells are expected on Saturday and swells could fall to less than 1.0 m across SVG by Sunday.
