Weather Outlook 16th September 2021 (6 pm)

Slight-moderate concentrations of Saharan dust across St.Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) could thin-out to a film by Sunday. Few clouds continue to trigger showers across parts of our islands, but shower activity remains mostly limited. A weak tropical wave could bring occasional showers across SVG by

late Saturday. An area of disturbance with a high (70 - 80%) chance of developing to depression is being monitored as it moves across the Atlantic Ocean.

Moderate to occasionally fresh (20 35 km/h) easterly breeze could turn east north-easterly during Friday. Wind-speeds could decrease to gentle by Saturday and directions turn northerly during the night. Conditions could be uncomfortable during Sunday, as light and variable winds reduce to calm.

Sea-conditions are slight to moderate in open water; with east north-east swells ranging 0.5 m to 1.2 m on the west and up to 1.5 m on the east of SVG. Gradual fall in swell heights are likely by Saturday (1.0 m on the west and 1.2 m on the east), with northerly swells during the night. During Sunday, sea-conditions may appear smooth at times, especially on the west coast.
