Weather Outlook - 9th October 2022(6pm)

A mid to upper level trough will still continue to influence the weather pattern across St. Vincent & the Grenadines within the next 24 hours. Cloudy to overcast skies, scattered moderate showers and isolated thunderstorms are anticipated tonight(Sunday) into Monday. Residents and motorists in areas prone to flooding and landslides or near rivers and streams should remain alert. A tropical wave should begin to affect the islands by Tuesday evening. This wave is expected to bring unsettled conditions across the islands that may linger into Wednesday.
Gentle to fresh(15-30km/h) easterly to east north easterly trades will cross our islands within the next few days, slightly increasing(~35km/h) on Tuesday. Seas are slight to moderate in open water with swells peaking near 1.0m on western coasts and ranging between 1.8m to 2.2m on eastern coasts. A thin film of Saharan dust haze is currently crossing the islands but concentrations could increase by late Wednesday.
