Weather Outlook - 17th February 2023 (6am)

A few light occasional showers are forecast for today, possibly intensifying as the weekend progresses due to the southward push of a shear-line over the islands. It will also be breezy, and seas on the eastern coasts will be rough.

Friday: Partly cloudy to cloudy with a few light occasional showers are anticipated during the day and night.

Saturday: Mostly cloudy with occasional light to moderate showers, mainly to the north of the mainland. Instability can last during the night/into Sunday morning.

Sunday: Moderate showers are likely during the early mornings, becoming mostly fair.

Winds will blow from the east north-east (ENE) at 20 km/h to 40 km/h, nearing to 45km/h on a few occasions. Seas will be slight  to moderate in open waters with swells ranging between 0.5m - 2.2m on the western coasts and moderate to rough on the eastern coasts with swells ranging between 2.5m-3.0 m. Small craft operators and sea bathers are asked to exercise caution. In addition, there will be no significant haze intrusion within this forecast period.
