Weather Outlook - 19th February 2026(12 Noon)
The Atlantic high pressure system should continue to exert its dominance within the next two days allowing for a few short lived showers under breezy conditions. A weak shearline could trigger some passing showers on Sunday morning. In addition, Saharan dust haze concentrations of varying intensities will continue to cross our islands,
reducing air quality and visibility. Some thickening may be visible around Sunday evening. Residents should be alert.
Moderate to fresh (~20-35 km/h) easterly to east north easterly trades are crossing our islands. A temporary shift to east south easterly expected around Friday evening into early Saturday. Seas are moderate in open waters with swells ranging between 1.5m to 1.8m on western coasts and could peak to 2.5 on eastern coasts. Small craft operators and sea bathers should exercise caution for above normal sea swells and occasional gusty winds.
