Weather Outlook - 31st July 2026(12 Noon)

A tropical wave is affecting the Eastern Caribbean and will this feature will generate occasional cloudy skies, pockets of showers and the possibility of thunderstorms across parts of SVG.

While more pleasant conditions are anticipated on Saturday, another tropical wave is expected to affect our islands by early Sunday. During Monday, the Atlantic High Pressure System should dominate the weather pattern and Saharan dust haze concentrations should be noticeable. Residents should take the necessary precautions for reduced visibility and air quality.

Gentle to moderate (~15-25 km/h) south easterly trades are crossing our islands, increasing (~30 km/h) from Sunday and shifting to east north easterly temporarily. Seas are slight to moderate in open water with swells peaking near 1.0 m on western coasts and near 1.8 m on eastern coasts. Swell heights could gradually increase on Monday as the day progresses. Therefore, small craft operators and sea bathers should exercise caution for above normal sea swells.
