Weather Outlook - 6th August 2026 (12 Noon)

The Atlantic High Pressure System remains dominant across SVG with only a slight chance of brief isolated showers expected into Friday.

In addition, late Friday into Saturday, a few scattered showers are likely across the southern island chain as a weak wave crosses the islands. Fair conditions could be interrupted on Sunday with occasional scattered showers as another wave affects our islands. Meanwhile, a plume of Saharan dust haze is forecast within our area by Friday afternoon into Saturday. Residents should take the necessary precautions for reduced visibility and air quality.

Moderate to fresh (~20-30 km/h) easterly to east north easterly trades are crossing our island. A shift to east south easterly and a decrease (~25 km/h) in speeds is expected on Sunday. Seas are slight to moderate in open water with swells peaking near 1.2 m on western coasts and near 1.8 m on eastern coasts. Small craft operators and sea bathers should exercise caution for above normal sea swells and reduced visibility in dust haze. Swell heights should fall along Sunday.
