Unstable conditions associated with a tropical wave will continue to affect our islands Monday night into Tuesday.
Residents and motorists in areas prone to flash flooding and landslides or near rivers and streams should exercise caution. A few passing showers may still be experienced during the early parts of Tuesday as patches of instability trails the wave. On Wednesday light wind speeds could instigate warm conditions with episodes of passing showers whereas on Thursday, partly cloudy skies are anticipated.
Gentle to fresh(~15-35km/h) easterly to east south easterly trades will cross our islands during overnight Monday, temporarily decreasing (~25 km/h) along Wednesday. A shift to east north easterly is expected on Thursday. Seas will be between smooth to moderate in open water with swell heights ranging between 0.5m to 1.0 m on western coasts and between 1.2 m and 1.8 m on eastern coasts. No significant Saharan dust haze intrusion expected for the remainder of the forecast period.
