Weather Outlook - 16th May 2026 (6 pm)

Weak unstable conditions will allow for scattered light to moderate showers into Sunday across our islands.

Over the next few days shallow cloud patches will produce pockets of showers as weak pulses traverse the chain. Meanwhile, Saharan dust haze concentrations of varying intensities will continue to cross our islands reducing air quality and visibility within the next few days. Remain alert.  A temporary and slight improvement may be noticeable during early Monday.

Moderate to fresh (~20-35 km/h) easterly to east north easterly trades are crossing our islands, shifting to east south easterly at times from Monday. Seas are currently moderate in open water. Within the next 3 days, swells heights should peak near 1.5 m on western coasts and range between 2.0 m and 2.5 m on eastern coasts. Small craft operators and sea bathers should exercise caution for above normal sea swells, occasional gusty winds and reduced visibility in dust haze.
