Occasional light to moderate showers are forecast for this afternoon, intensifying by late Friday night into Saturday, as a tropical wave begins to affect the islands. Further more, an upper level trough will enhance unstable conditions at lower levels producing moderate to heavy showers and possible thunderstorms around Saturday afternoon into early Sunday morning. Model guidance is indicating a decrease in shower intensity around Sunday morning, but by Sunday evening through Monday, there is a high chance of moderate to heavy showers and isolated thunderstorms as the upper level trough deepens across the region.
