The St. Vincent and the Grenadines Meteorological Services is monitoring the progress of a strong tropical wave a few hundred miles east of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) as of 2 pm this afternoon. Although forecast models suggest that development is becoming unlikely as the system approaches the Windward Islands, late tonight, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines is likely to experience some moderate showers, becoming heavy by Tuesday morning with gusty winds and possible isolated thunderstorms. In addition, rainfall accumulations of 1 to 2 inches (25 to 50 millimeters) are possible. As a result, some flash-flooding are likely in low-lying areas.
