72 Hours Outlook

Weather Outlook 9th February 2020 (12 noon)

A weak low level trough resulted in cloudy skies with a few showers across the island chain last night. The Atlantic High Pressure System continues to pump brisk trade-winds across the islands, bringing cloud patches and Saharan dust particles. Haze could thicken to reduce visibility across St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) this evening. Dust concentrations should be thinning out late Tuesday, increasing the likelihood for a few showers into Wednesday. 

Fresh (30 - 40 km/h) trades may vary slightly in direction as the weak trough crosses the island chain, turning northeasterly Monday night into Tuesday. Small craft-operators and sea-bathers should continue to exercise caution
