72 Hours Outlook

Weather Outlook - 22nd September 2025(12 Noon)

A tropical wave with a 70% chance of cyclone formation in the next 7 days is located 400 miles east of the Leeward Islands. It poses no threat to SVG currently, however instability associated with this wave could instigate the weather pattern over the next few days. Moisture will migrate to our islands as a south easterly wind flow is expected. This will allow for humid conditions. A mixture of warm/humid conditions with interrupts of moderate showers is expected over the next few days.

Gentle to moderate (~15 -25 km/h) east north easterly trades are crossing our islands. A shift to east south easterly is expected by Monday afternoon with a slight increase (~20-30 km/h) in speeds from Tuesday. Seas will be slight to moderate in open water with swells peaking to 1.0m on western coasts and peaking to 1.8 m on eastern coasts. Slight Saharan dust haze is noticeable across SVG but should thin out during the upcoming days.
