72 Hours Outlook

Weather Outlook - 18th August 2024 (6pm)

A weak tropical wave is crossing the islands and occasional cloud patches could support a few scattered showers with thunderstorms across St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) tonight and during Monday. Showers and thunderstorm activity could decrease across SVG overnight Monday/early Tuesday. Isolated showers are likely on Wednesday, possibly increasing overnight as another tropical wave approaches the islands. Varying concentrations of Saharan dust could create slight/moderate-haze across our area at times, possibly thinning-out by Tuesday afternoon.

Gentle-moderate (15 - 25km/h) breeze across our islands could vary between north-east and east south-east in some locations, temporarily increasing (~30km/h) near showers. During Wednesday, wind speeds could decrease to light (5 - 10km/h) with little cooling-effect and uncomfortable conditions…Be Alert!

Sea conditions are slight to moderate in open water, with swells ranging 0.5m - 1.0m west of our islands and 1.0m - 1.5m east of our islands.
