72 Hours Outlook

Weather Outlook - 13th June 2024 (12 Noon)

Fair to occasionally cloudy skies are anticipated over the next 48 hours as a ridge pattern domianates the weather conditions across SVG. A few sporadic showers are expected to interrupt warm conditions. By late Sunday night, a tropical wave will begin to affect our islands, triggering a few scattered showers. Saharan dust intrusion of varying concentrations will traverse the area reducing air quality.

Moderate to fresh (20-30km/h) east south easterly to south easterly trades are crossing the islands, becoming strong (~40km/h) Friday and Saturday before slightly decreasing and becoming easterly on Sunday. Seas are slight to moderate in open waters with swells ranging between 1.0m-2.0m, however due to the expected increase in wind speeds from Friday, the waters can become agitated. Exercise caution or above normal sea swells.
