Unstable conditions associated with a mid to upper level trough generated moderate to heavy showers, periods of light rain and thunderstorms across SVG and the southern Windwards during most of yesterday. The 24 hour rainfall total recorded at Argyle and Arnos Vale were 56.5 mm and 23.0 mm, respectively. The latest forecast model guidance indicates that the moisture associated with the trough will continue to move away from the island chain, thus resulting in gradual improvement in weather conditions. Shower activity, if any, in the next few days is expected to be limited.
