Although a favourable upper level environment exists, a thick plume of Saharan dust is crossing the islands, inhibiting significant shower activity. However, there is some available moisture in the atmosphere(as a result of the northward migration of the Inter-tropical Convergence Zone-ITCZ) that is maintaining cloudy skies and this may allow for the occasional light isolated shower. A low chance of thunderstorm activity also increases near the southern parts of the chain. Haze concentrations may vary in intensity over the next few days.
