Saint Vincent and the Grenadines can expect some showers tonight intensifying from around late Sunday. Monday is forecast to be windy and showery with isolated thunderstorms. Showers will linger into Tuesday. Such instability across the island during the next few days is due firstly to the passage of a tropical wave, followed by the Inter- tropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) behind the wave, and then the presence of another tropical wave. A favourable upper level will lend support. The Saint Vincent Meteorological Services will continue to monitor these systems and provide the necessary update. It is the wet season and residents and motorists are urged to remain vigilant.
