Weather Outlook 1st January 2021 (6 pm)

The Western Atlantic High Pressure System is the dominant feature; pumping fresh to strong (‘~35 - 50 km/h) north north-easterly winds which occasionally push weak low-level shear-lines across our area with brisk showers, bringing cooler air and creating rough sea-conditions across St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) this weekend. The Western Atlantic High Pressure System could start weakening late Sunday. 

Small-craft Warning and High-Surf Advisory remain in effect…Persons in wind-exposed areas should be alert; as higher gusts nearing gale (‘~50 – 60 km/h) strength are likely to cause damage to overhanging wires, some trees/plants and loose objects. Small-craft operators and sea-bathers are being warned; due to above normal
