A FLOOD-WARNING IS IN EFFECT FOR ST.VINCENT AND THE GRENADINES
issued by The Barbados Meteorological Services at 7:00 a.m Wednesday 18th October, 2017
Over the past 48 hours, occasional moderate to heavy showers and periods of rain have been experienced across Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.
Rainfall accumulations of approximately 4 inches with isolated higher amounts have occurred in the mountainous areas. At the Argyle International Airport, 119mm (~ 4.7 inches) were recorded for the past 48hours.
As another tropical wave is expected to spread some moderate to heavy showers, periods of rain, isolated thunderstorms and occasional gusty winds across St.Vincent and the Grenadines today, adding to the already unsettled conditions, a FLOOD-WARNING is now in effect for St.Vincent and the Grenadines until 6:00 pm, today Wednesday 18th October, 2017, and may be extended if conditions warrant.
The Barbados Meteorological Services and the Saint Vincent Meteorological Services will continue to monitor the progress of this wave.
