Saharan dust concentrations could occasionally thin-out across our area, as tropical waves cross the islands this week. By Monday, unstable conditions and increasing moisture levels are likely to maintain cloudy skies, with scattered showers and
thunderstorm activity across St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG)…Residents and motorists in areas prone to flash-flooding and landslides or near rivers and streams should be alert.
Moderate-fresh (20 - 35km/h) northeasterlies could temporarily turn southeasterly during Monday. Wind speeds are expected to peak (35 - 45km/h) by Wednesday night...Be aware!
Sea conditions are slight-moderate in open water, with swells near 1.2m (4ft) west of our islands and 2.0m (6.5ft) east of our islands. During Wednesday night, increasing wind speeds could become gusty near 46km/h (~ 25knots) with swell heights nearing 1.8m (6ft) west of our islands and 2.5m (8ft) east of our islands…Small-craft operators and sea-bathers should exercise caution for above normal swells and occasional strong winds.
