Weather Outlook 24th June 2019 (6 pm)

The Atlantic High Pressure System is rebuilding and pumping moderate to fresh (25 - 40km/h) breeze across the area. Small cloud patches in the lower levels could bring occasional showers. Meanwhile, increasing concentrations of Saharan dust (20 - 50 µg/m3) are expected to create slight to moderate hazy conditions, possibly thinning out on Thursday.

Lower level moisture ahead of a weak tropical wave should be approaching the region late Tuesday into Wednesday with a few scattered showers.

Wind directions should back to east north-easterly late Tuesday with the approach of next tropical wave, veering with occasional strong gusts behind its axis on Thursday.

Slight to moderate (1.0 m - 2.0 m) sea conditions are across our islands in easterly swells. Gradual rise in wave heights can be expected to range 1.5 to 2.5 m by Thursday.

Barometric readings should range 1013 - 1017mb across our area over the next few days.
