Latest Weather Report -Tuesday 17th January 2023 (6pm)

Slight moisture associated with a shearline will continue its westward movement across the island chain tonight, triggering a few scattered showers across SVG. After which, mostly fair conditions are anticipated on Wednesday and Thursday as a ridge of high pressure rebuilds and dominates. Model guidance is indicating weak unstable conditions across the islands around Thursday night.

Tuesday night:  High chance of a few showers as instability exits the islands.

Wednesday: A few lingering early morning showers are possible, becoming mostly fair.

Thursday:  Fair to occasionally cloudy with low chance of isolated showers. A few scattered showers are likely during the night.

Friday: Fair to occasionally cloudy with low chance of a few isolated showers.

Winds will blow generally from the east north east (ENE) at 20 km/h to 30 km/h veering to (E) at times. Expect an increase in wind speeds~35 km/h from Thursday.

Seas will remain slight to  moderate with swells ranging between 0.5m - 1.5m on the western coasts and 1.5m - 2.0m on the eastern coasts, possibly deteriorating (2.5m) on the eastern coasts around Thursday. In addition, no significant haze intrusion is forecast within this forecast period.
