Weather Outlook - 22nd July 2026(12 Noon)

Relatively fair conditions can be expected within the next 24 hours as a ridge pattern dominates.

Meanwhile, the first of two approaching tropical waves is expected to trigger some showers into Thursday evening while the other is forecast to affect SVG on Saturday. Models suggest this feature could be aided by a supportive upper level environment increasing the possibility for thunderstorm activity. Residents should remain alert. In addition, moderate Saharan dust haze concentrations are expected on Friday, reducing visibility and air quality. Residents are advised to take the necessary precautions.

Moderate to fresh (~20-30 km/h) east south easterly to easterly trades are crossing our islands with the occasional increase (~35 km/h) along Thursday and Friday. A temporary shift to east north east is also expected from Friday. Wind speeds should decrease (~15-25 km/h) on Saturday. Seas will be slight to moderate in open water with swells peaking near 1.0 m on western coasts and near 1.5 m on eastern coasts.
