Unstable conditions are across St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) with occasionally cloudy skies, periods of light rain, pockets of moderate-heavy showers and thunderstorm activity. Slight haze could thin-out on Saturday and cloudiness could increase, with a trough system enhancing showers

and thunderstorm activity across SVG by evening and during Sunday…Remain alert in areas prone to flash-flooding and land-slides or near rivers and streams.

Moderate to occasionally fresh (20 – 35 km/h) east north-easterly trades could become gusty (near 45km/h) and turn east south-easterly at times.

North-easterly swells in open water; range 1.2 to 1.5 m on the west and up to 2.5 m on the east of SVG…Small-craft operators, sea-bathers should continue to exercise caution.

Saharan dust haze concentrations of varying intensities are crossing our islands, reducing air quality and visibility. Concentrations could increase on Thursday. Residents should remain alert for reduced air quality and visibility. Meanwhile, the Atlantic high pressure system will dominate the weather pattern across our islands during the next few days. A few passing short lived sowers can be expected on occasions.
