A few pockets of showers are likely across our area along Wednesday into Thursday as instability trailing a tropical wave lingers.

On Thursday Saharan dust haze concentrations will be present, possibly increasing by Friday. Residents should take the necessary precautions due to poor air quality and visibility. Relatively Fair conditions are forecast on Friday whereas some showers can be expected on Saturday due to an approaching wave.

Moderate to fresh (~15-30 km/h) east south easterly to easterly trades are crossing our islands, increasing (~40 km/h) in speeds from Thursday and shifting to east north easterly. A further increase (45 km/h) is expected on Friday. Seas are slight to moderate in open water with swells peaking to 1.0 m on western coasts and near 1.8 m on eastern coasts but will deteriorate by late Thursday resulting in moderate to rough conditions. A small craft and high surf advisory will be in effect for SVG. Only vessels capable of withstanding swell magnitudes (1.8m to 2.7m) should venture out. Sea-bathers are advised to stay out of the water.
