Weather Outlook - 20th September 2026(12 Noon)
A ridge pattern will remain dominant this (Sunday) afternoon and warm and fair conditions expected to persist.
Similar weather conditions are anticipated within the next 48 hours with interruptions of passing showers as winds speeds are expected to remain light. The chance of showers increases towards Wednesday as unstable conditions could gain support from a favourable upper level environment.
Light to moderate (~10-25km/h) south easterly trades are crossing our islands. An east northeasterly to east south easterly pattern is expected daily into midweek with an increase (~35 km/h) expected on Wednesday. Seas are currently smooth to slight. Swell heights should peak at 0.5 m on western coasts and range between 1.0 m and 1.5 m on eastern coasts during the next three days. No significant Saharan dust intrusion is expected during this forecast period.
