Weather Outlook - 26th October 2026(12noon)
An east south easterly wind flow is drawing moisture to our area from equatorial regions while a favourable mid to upper levels environment is in place.
This is resulting in occasional cloudy skies and light to moderate showers with possible thunderstorm activity. Residents and motorists in areas prone to flash-flooding and landslides or near rivers and streams should remain alert. Similar weather conditions are forecast along Tuesday and during early Wednesday. The chance of showers decreases on Thursday as relatively fair conditions are expected to dominate.
Moderate to fresh (~25-35 km/h) east south easterly trades are crossing our islands. Winds speeds should temporarily decrease (~25 km/h) on Wednesday. Seas are moderate in open water with swells heights peaking near 1.5 m on western coasts and near 2.0 m on eastern coasts. Small craft operators and sea bathers should exercise caution for above normal sea swells. Swell heights should fall temporarily on Wednesday. Slight Saharan dust haze concentrations should be noticeable within the next few days.
