Fair to partly cloudy skies, hazy and breezy conditions are forecast across St. Vincent and the Grenadines over the next 48 hours as the Atlantic High pressure system strengthens across the Eastern Caribbean. Some scattered showers are likely on Friday evening.
An occasional strong(40km/h) east to east south easterly wind flow would continue over the next 48 hours before decreasing in strength to moderate (25 - 35km/h) across the island chain by Saturday evening. Sea conditions on the eastern coasts will deteriorate with swells peaking around 2.5m. Currently, swells are peaking at 1.5m on the western coasts and 2.0m on the eastern coasts. Small craft operators and sea bathers are therefore advised to exercise caution over the next few days. A gradual improvement to slight to moderate(1.0m - 2.0 m) conditions may return around Saturday evening.
In addition, reduced visibility will persist as varying intensities of dust haze continue to cross the islands.
