Light wind speeds and cool night time temperatures are likely to persist over the next few days across SVG due to an existing low-pressure system located north of the Eastern Caribbean. Despite the presence of this feature, the atmosphere is expected to remain relatively dry within this forecast period, allowing for mainly brief and sparse shower activity.
Light and gentle(<20 km/h) westerly winds would cross the islands within the next two days before becoming northerly to north easterly around Friday. Seas are forecast to be slight to moderate in open waters with swells peaking at 1.0m on the western coasts and near 2.0m on the eastern coasts. These conditions could begin to deteriorate late Thursday. Small craft operators and sea bathers are advised to exercise caution for above normal northerly sea swells and possible rip currents. In addition, no significant haze intrusion is forecast during this time period.
