The Atlantic high pressure system will dominate the weather conditions within the next 24 to 48 hours. Therefore, breezy conditions and sporadic light to moderate showers can be expected as the atmosphere is expected to remain relatively dry. The chance of showers increases from Wednesday as a shearline affects our islands.
Fresh to Strong(30-40 km/h) east north easterly to easterly trades will cross the islands within this forecast period. Consequently, seas are moderate to rough in open waters with swells peaking up to 1.5m on western coasts and up ranging between 2.6m to 3.0m on eastern coasts. Small craft operators and sea bathers should exercise extreme caution for above normal sea swells and occasional gusty winds. Varying concentrations of Saharan dust haze will cross the islands over the next few days.
