A few showers are likely across St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) tonight. The next tropical wave is expected to approach the islands overnight Thursday, bringing scattered showers and thunderstorms across SVG by Friday. An embedded wind-surge could result in occasional gusty/squally conditions overnight Friday/early Saturday and showers with thunderstorm activity could linger during Saturday…Residents and motorists in areas prone to flooding and

landslides or near rivers and streams should be alert. 

Gentle to moderate (15 - 25km/h) winds could vary in direction between east north-east and east south-east tonight. Easterly winds on Thursday turn east south-easterly during Friday with occasional strong gusts (~45km/h) overnight Friday/early Saturday. Moderate (~25km/h) east south-easterly breeze can be expected by Saturday evening.

Marine conditions are slight to moderate with swells ranging 1.0m to 1.5m across our islands. Varying concentrations of Saharan dust could result in occasional slight haze across our area.
