A plume of Saharan dust (varying concentration) crossing the islands has reduced visibility across St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) in moderate/thick-haze. Saharan dust concentrations could thin-out during Thursday night, with slight-haze across SVG by Friday.
Gentle-moderate (15 - 25km/h) south-easterly winds across our islands could occasionally increase (~30km/h) on Thursday and decreasing (~10km/h) during Friday night and Saturday.
Marine conditions are slight to moderate in open water, with swells ranging 0.5 - 1.0m on western coasts and 1.0 - 1.5m on eastern coasts…Small craft operators should exercise caution for reduced visibility (until Thursday night) in moderate/thick-haze across our area.
Additionally, an area of low Pressure in the Atlantic Ocean is propagating long-period northerly swells which could reach along western coasts of our islands during Friday and spreading across the eastern coasts by Friday night…Small-craft operators and sea-bathers should exercise extreme caution for occasional breaking wave action (surf) and rip currents.
