72 Hours Outlook

Weather Outlook - 13th November 2024 (12 Noon)

Unstable conditions will continue to facilitate pockets of moderate showers across our islands with the possibility of isolated thunderstorms along Wednesday afternoon. Residents and motorists in areas prone to flooding and landslides or near rivers and streams should be prepared.  A ridge pattern should dominate the weather conditions from Thursday. Fair to occasionally cloudy skies with a few isolated showers are forecast. There is the potential for scattered showers by Saturday evening.

Gentle to moderate (15- 25km/h) east south easterly trades are crossing our islands. Wind speeds should decrease (10-20 km/h) along Thursday and Friday.  Seas are currently moderate in open water with swells peaking up to 1.5m on western coasts and near 2.0m on eastern coasts. Marine users should exercise caution for above normal sea swells and for breaking wave action and rip currents near the shoreline. Sea conditions should improve from Thursday. In addition, varying concentrations of Saharan dust haze will cross our islands over the next few days, thinning out on Saturday.
