72 Hours Outlook

Weather Outlook 18th May 2020 (6 pm)

A wake cloud is stretched between Barbados and our islands, bringing a few showers across St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) this evening into tonight. Slight haze, due to Saharan dust concentrations is gradually thinning-out across our islands and an approaching weak tropical wave could result in increased cloudiness with scattered showers by Tuesday evening. Pockets of moderate showers are likely Wednesday, with reduced shower activity on Thursday and slight haze returning by evening.

Moderate (~20 – 30 km/h) breeze from the east north-east could occasionally become fresh (near 35 km/h) and turn east south-easterly during Wednesday, behind the approaching tropical wave.

Slight to moderate (1.2 - 2.0 m) sea-swells are expected across our islands.
