72 Hours Outlook

Cloudiness is increasing across St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) as moisture converges on the south-western edge of the Atlantic High Pressure System. Unstable conditions associated with a northward migration of the Inter-Tropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) could maintain showers and thunderstorm activity across SVG. Pockets of moderate-heavy showers, thunderstorm activity and occasional strong breeze are likely to spread across SVG by tonight and  Monday morning…Residents and motorists in areas prone to flooding and landslides or near rivers and streams should exercise caution…Varying concentrations of Saharan dust could create slight/moderate-haze across our area at times.

Moderate-fresh (25 - 35km/h) north-easterly breeze could become strong (~40km/h) overnight Sunday and Monday morning, turning south-easterly and decrease (10 - 20km/h) by Tuesday.

Sea conditions are slight to moderate in open water, with swells ranging 1.0m - 1.5m west of our islands and 1.5m - 2.5m east of our islands...Small-craft operators and sea-bathers should exercise caution for gusty winds and above normal swells during Sunday night and Monday.
