72 Hours Outlook

Weather Outlook - 2nd August 2025 (12 Noon)

Equatorial moisture is migrating to our islands via south easterly trade winds. This is resulting in occasional cloudy conditions and pockets of showers. It will also facilitate humid/warm conditions over the next few days with interruptions of short lived showers. The Atlantic high pressure system is expected to become dominant from Monday.

Gentle to moderate (~ 20 - 30 km/h) south easterly to east south-easterly trades are crossing our islands. A slight decrease (~15-25 km/h) s expected from Monday. Winds should become east north easterly on Tuesday. Seas are slight to moderate in open water with swells peaking near 1.0m on western coasts and peaking at 2.0m on eastern coasts. Swell heights could deccrease from Monday. Saharan dust haze concentrations should cross our islands from along Sunday and thin out by Monday evening.
