72 Hours Outlook

Weather Outlook - 18th February 2024 (12noon)

The Atlantic high pressure system will continue to the dominate the weather pattern during the next few days pumping fresh breeze across the islands. Generally, fair conditions are expected with a slight chance of isolated passing showers within the next 3 days.

Moderate to fresh (25-35km/h) easterly to east south easterly trades are currently crossing the islands. Wind speeds will slightly decrease(~30km/h) from Tuesday and  shift to east north easterly and become gentle (<20km/h) on Thursday. Moderate sea conditions are expected to continue with swells ranging between 1.5m-2.0m. Small craft operators and sea bathers should continue to exercise caution. Swell heights could begin to fall around Wednesday night with improvements on Thursday as wind speeds decrease. No significant  haze intrusion is expected within this forecast period.
