72 Hours Outlook

Cloudy-overcast skies, periods of light rain, moderate-heavy showers and isolated thunderstorms continue across St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) tonight. Gradual reduction in cloudiness and shower activity is expected during Wednesday. Increasing cloud cover with scattered showers is expected during Friday…Residents and motorists in areas prone to flooding and landslides or near rivers and streams should exercise caution. Varying concentrations of Saharan dust could create a film/slight haze across our area at times.

Moderate-fresh (20 - 35km/h) south-easterly winds become gentle-moderate (15 - 25 km/h) during Wednesday and directions turn east north-easterly. Wind speeds are expected to gradually increase during Thursday night, with fresh-occasionally strong (30 - 40 km/h) breeze during Friday and continuing Friday night… Residents and motorists should be alert.

Marine conditions are slight to moderate in open water, with swells ranging 1.0m - 2.0m across our islands…Exercise caution on Friday, with increasing gusty winds and rising sea-swells.
