72 Hours Outlook

Weather Outlook - 21st June 2025(12 Noon)

The Atlantic high pressure system is dominant allowing for fair conditions for the remainder of Saturday. Meanwhile, a tropical wave approaches SVG and will begin to affect our islands as Sunday progresses, increasing the chance of showers and thunderstorm activity. Instability associated with this feature is expected to trigger additional showers into Monday. Residents should exercise caution. Saharan dust haze concentrations will thin out on Sunday but increase from Monday, reducing air quality and visibility on occasions.

Moderate to fresh (~20-35 km/h) east north easterly trades are currently crossing the islands. Strong (45km/h) )easterly to east south easterly speeds are anticipated from Monday. Seas are moderate in open water with swells peaking near 1.5m on western coasts and up to  2.0m on eastern coasts. Small craft operators and sea bathers should exercise caution for above normal sea swells. Seas could further deteriorate on Monday and become moderate to rough.
