72 Hours Outlook

Weather Outlook - 14th August 2021(12 Noon)

Tropical storm Grace is affecting the Leewards, however, moisture and a south easterly wind flow associated with this system would generate cloudy skies and trigger occasional moderate showers and possible isolated thunderstorms across our islands this afternoon. Residents and motorists in areas prone to flooding and landslides or near rivers and streams should remain alert. Model guidance further suggests that additional moisture would be drawn to our islands on Sunday as the southerly wind flow continues. This increases the potential for moderate to heavy showers. The Atlantic high pressure system should dominate the weather pattern on Monday, while on Tuesday, another tropical wave is forecast to affect our islands.
